On 21 May 2014 the book „My Europe. My Rights. Material of the national youth conference – legal ideas contest, held celebrating the European Year of Citizens and Lithuanian’s Presidency of the Council of the EU” was presented in Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

As of 1 January 2015 the law amending the Code of Civil Procedure of Lithuania and creating the legal framework for the exercise of the right to file class actions will come into force. The Supreme Court of Lithuania adopted its decision in a civil case No. 3K-3-586/2012 ruling that decisions adopted by courts of lower instance were unjustified and finding that the claim of UAB “CAN2 FASHION” company and its manager J. K. to a defendant S. G., who was the manager of the website www.skundai.lt, where comments about the defendants were published, must be dismissed. The applicants claimed that the information published was false and humiliating and thus sought the court to oblige the defendant to withdraw the information from his website and reimburse the non-pecuniary damages caused >>
On 28 July 2012, Mrs. Jolita Malinauskaite, the Director of Law and Management Institute (LMI), held a meeting with Mrs. Rasa Ardyte-Juskys, the Head of the Lithuanian Expatriates Internship Program (LEIP).
During this Meeting, it has been discussed the prospective cooperation opportunities between LMI and LEIP, and the representatives of both institutions supported the signing of a mutual cooperation agreement at their earliest convenience.
LEIP is a program, funded by the Lithuanian Expatriates Community in USA and Canada, offering the short-term internship opportunities in Lithuania for expatriate students. This program is aimed at establishing opportunities for Lithuanian origin students to conduct internships and gain work experience in their relevant field of study, to expand Lithuanian language skills, to get acquainted with Lithuanian every-day life and culture, as well as the respective developments thereof.
